Covid19-Safe

DCH have clear and up-to-date Covid secure policies which sit hand n glove with our infection control policies and procedures.

DCH follow the guidelines set out by Public Health England and the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

All DCH homes have passed specific Covid 19 infection control inspection.

Whilst open and unlimited visiting opportunities are currently not available (they usually are at all of our homes) we do whatever we can to facilitate covid safe visiting by appointment so that PPE and flow test facilities can be carried out.

Activities and crafts are encouraged supported and facilitated for residents and they can even enjoy virtual reality adventures using the 3D virtual reality headsets available at each Diamond Care Home.

Monthly Live entertainments are arranged within Covid 19 secure planning and occasional trips out in the group shared minibus can also be enjoyed.

Safe Admissions Policy – May 2020 until further notice

During these challenging times we are all learning how to adapt and live with the various restrictions to our normal lives which have been introduced by the government in order to minimise the risk of catching or  spreading Coronovirus Covid 19 infection.

It is important that you should feel as safe as possible about making the positive choice to come and live in a residential care home owned and managed by the Diamond Care Homes Group.

All Diamond Care Homes follow a strict ‘safe admissions’ policy as part of a wider policy aimed at ensuring, so far as is possible, the safety of everyone working and living at a Diamond Care Home. The safe admission policy involves a screening questionnaire and an initial 14 day period of support and care in your own bedroom period.

By following this policy you are given the comfort of knowing that during the settling in period you will be cared for independently in a safe as possible manner.

This also gives comfort to the existing care home residents who require shielding from any potential infection being brought into the care home by others.

There are seven Diamond Care Homes to choose from and they are all located across the North West of England.

Langdales and Waterside Care Homes are both located in Blackpool.

Clough House Care Home is in Leyland.

Primrose Villa and The Oaks Care Homes are both located near Wigan.

Hulton Care Home is in Nelson near Burnley.

Fern Hill House Care Home is in Bacup near Todmorden, on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border.

We look forward to welcoming you safely to your new Diamond Care Home!
