About Us

The Diamond Care Home Group (DCH) has grown steadily, in a controlled and carefully planned manner, starting in 2006 with the purchase of a small 15 bed residential care home in Standish near Wigan.

DCH currently owns and operates seven residential care homes specialising in support and care for frail elderly, generally but not exclusively over the age of 65, many of whom are living with dementia.

DCH focus on creating homely ‘home from home’ environments and providing friendly, supportive care, designed to encourage and promote independence and well-being and enabling residents to lead as far as is possible a meaningful, purposeful and fulfilling life.

The same two founding directors namely Raj Singh and Bal Singh remain the driving force behind the ever growing and ever improving small group of family owned ‘Diamond Care Homes’.

Further expansion and development is planned for 2022 within the North West region of the UK where you can find Diamond Care Homes in Blackpool, Wigan and Lancashire.

The Group Operations Manager Phil Padgett has been helping the directors and managers to deliver high quality care since 2017 and brings more than 25 years’ of care home and management experience. Phil also has an advanced knowledge of dementia having completed a masters level programme in dementia awareness coaching with ‘Dementia Care Matters’ and ‘Brighton & Surrey’ university.

All DCH registered managers have a level 5 qualification in ‘Management and Leadership’ or are working towards this award.

All DCH staff are supported and enabled to train not just in mandatory subjects but also in subjects which support the needs of the particular resident group at the home where they are employed.

Our Services

Residential Care

Our speciality is residential care for frail elderly with a particular ability to support and enable those living with dementia to live as well and as independently as possible.

Respite Care

We can provide long term or short term respite care when available and this can be a great help to those worn out family members who need a break themselves but must feel confident that their loved ones will be well cared for during their break. You are in safe hands with a Diamond Care Home.

Dementia Care

We pride ourselves on liaising well with friends and family and regularly providing information and seeking feedback and suggestions for improvement via digital surveys using email or smart phone communications. We do the same with staff and with external professionals and clinicians so that we always have an idea where we can meet and satisfy peoples’ needs and expectations better and how we can achieve our own continuous improvement aspirations.
